Juan Antonio Rodríguez del Pino holds a BA in Geography and History, specializing in Contemporary History, from the University of Valencia, a BA in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the UNED, and a PhD in Gender Studies from the University of Valencia.
Since 2023, he has been a Full Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
His research interests include equality issues from the perspective of masculinities, local development, and teaching innovation.
His latest projects include: The Long-Term Care Model in Transition: Political, Family, and Community Strategies to Address the Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic (PID2020-114887RD-C31) and Care Matters. Gender Impact on Caregivers of the Elderly and Dependent in Times of COVID-19 (CUMADE2020/00212/001)
Sabine Heiss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Valencia. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the Pablo de Olavide University (Seville) and a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany).
Sabine is a member of the Critical Theory and Frankfurt School Research Group [https://critica.blogs.uv.es/] and the emerging research group "Global Dialogues of Current Critical Theory" (DIGLOTEO II) at the University of Valencia. She collaborates with the research group "Visual Studies on the Memory of Slavery, Colonialism, and Their Legacies" at the UV. She is part of the research group for the project "Resilience of Anti-Discrimination Law to Biases and Stereotypes: Challenges and Proposals for Intervention," affiliated with the University of Deusto.
She is also a member of the board of directors of the international association DiscourseNet and the advisory board of the journal Zeitschrift für Discursforschung.
Her research interests include Latin American critical theory, the decolonization of knowledge, discourse studies, and the sociology of education.
Ricardo Klein is a sociologist and PhD in Cultural and Heritage Management (UB). He is a Full Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Valencia.
He has been a visiting professor at universities in Portugal, Spain, and Uruguay. He teaches and writes on cultural practices in public spaces, cities and urban creativity, and cultural policies.
He is the author of numerous book chapters and articles in national and international journals. He has presented papers at more than 30 national and international conferences. He has also participated in various research projects focusing on cities and culture from diverse perspectives, such as public spaces and cultural participation, and the impact of urban art on cities. He is also an international consultant for UNESCO on cultural policies.
He is an urban photographer and has an extensive photographic archive on urban art, cities, and public spaces, covering more than 60 cities in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States.
