Welcome new researchers in training

We also welcome two new research trainees from the fields of Social Sciences and Education.

Andrea Ruiz González is a PhD candidate in Social Sciences at the University of Valencia, where she conducts research focused on new female and dissident identities and subjectivities linked to electronic music and dance cultures in Spain. She holds a degree in Sociology (2014-2018) and a Master's degree in Gender and Equality Policies from the same university. Her work focuses on the analysis of party cultures and electronic music scenes, with a special focus on addressing violence in these contexts. Through a critical approach, her research contributes to the understanding of gender dynamics in nightlife and contemporary culture.

Lara Fernández Rodríguez holds a degree in Primary Education from the University of Valencia and an Official Master's Degree in Emotional Education and Creative Character Development from the International University of La Rioja. She recently completed a second research Master's degree in Humanities, specializing in Art, Literature, and Contemporary Culture, from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) as an entry point into the Doctoral Program in Specific Didactics at the University of Valencia to begin her doctoral thesis. Throughout her educational career, she has received the Extraordinary Degree Award for Best Academic Record (2021), the Concepción Medina García Award for Best Female Academic Record (2021), and was also awarded a University Personnel Training (FPU) grant from the Ministry of Education for the 2025-2026 session. Her lines of research focus on the multidimensional potential of the dispositions of artistic and literary thought at the intersection with performance processes, and their transfer to the training of future teachers in the digitalized educational context of the 21st century. In parallel, she has completed professional studies in clarinet and piano, and has professional experience as an art education teacher, singer, and actress.
