ABSTRACT:

Many of the best-studied sex chromosomes are ancient, making it challenging to disentangle cause and effect during sex chromosome evolution. Jessica Abbott will explain how her lab uses experimental evolution in fruit flies and flatworms to try to test fundamental theories of sex chromosome evolution.
