Next Friday, 25 September, the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Valencia will be taking part in the European Research Night with the ArchaeoScience exhibition at the Viveros Gardens.
Through a range of hands-on activities, the public will be able to gain an insight into some of the scientific techniques applied to the study of the past and heritage. These will include demonstrations of archaeological geophysics, using GPR and magnetometry to explore the subsoil; activities analysing heritage materials using digital microscopy, ultraviolet light and X-ray fluorescence; a cyanotype workshop; and activities related to underwater archaeology and the study of
material culture.
The event will take place from 10.00 to 13.30 and from 17.00 to 20.00, with
free admission subject to availability.
