Valencia is the favourite destination for Erasmus Students

The quality of life, climatic conditions, culture and the nightlife are among the factors that attract Erasmus student to Spain. It is clearly demonstrated thanks to a survey carried out by Uniplaces, a university accommodation portal, between more than 26.000 european students. Valencia is within the 20 most requested cities, being the 4th best rated.

The ERASMUS programme (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) was born in 1987 in order to encourage student exchange between european universities in which Universitat de València has always been involved.

Universitat de València continues being the leader in the Erasmus exchange programme and it is currently the public university receiving and sending the largest number of Erasmus students.

According to the latest reports from European Committee, Universitat de València continues being the leader in the Erasmus exchange programme and it is currently the public university receiving and sending the largest number of Erasmus students. It is the third Spanish university with more than 1.700 incoming students, from countries such as Italy, Germany, France and United Kingdom.

Regarding to the outgoing Erasmus students, Universitat de València occupies the third position and the most requested destinations are Italy, Germany, United Kingdom and France. More than 1.500 students have been studying abroad or carrying out internships in Europe.
