“The internships are the moment in which all acquired knowledge sets, themselves becoming a small part of the whole that is gained. They are a real, experiential, hands-on learning experience, where you see, touch and feel the learning.”
Nora Engra. Instituto Politécnico Tomás Katari (IPTK) (Bolivia). High poverty indexes are still sustained in many Bolivian territories, as well as repeated human rights violations, food security problems or severe gender inequalities, among many others. It is for this reason that, once the context becomes known by the organisation, an intervention is to be done to empower and strengthen the rights of the different communities from Sucre and their population, which consists mainly of migrants, farmers and natives. The developed activities have been:
- Support in the formulation of cooperation proposals.
- Facilitations in the communities with migrant, farming and native populations.
- Accompaniment in the monitoring and evaluation of cooperation projects.
- Diagnosis of the situation of migrant, farming and native women and their contribution to the local development.
