Round table of the Welcome Day of the Master’s Degree in Gender and Equality Policies held on 14 November.
Last Friday, 14 November, the Master’s Welcome Day was held in hybrid format. More than 25 people attended in person, and more than 5 joined online. We shared some fair-trade products and enjoyed a round table in which recently graduated students from the master’s programme shared their experience in the process of completing their Master’s Thesis (TFM): María Costa Julve, whose thesis was titled “The ‘Plan Corresponsables’ in the Generalitat Valenciana. A reconceptualisation of work–life balance through gender-sensitive budgeting”. Javier Mata Cardona, with the thesis “Natural support networks in the lives of women survivors of gender-based violence. A feminist analysis”. Ana Montejano Llácer, with the thesis “The invisibilisation of care work in media representations of rescue operations during the Valencia DANA”. And Jesús Peris Camarasa, with the thesis “Live hypersexualisation: Is boobstreaming a form of digital prostitution in the platform economy?”.
Afterwards, a round table on professional paths and work experiences took place, featuring: Loreto Martínez Otero, Equality Officer at Aldaia City Council; Paloma Oltra del Cerro, from Aliades. Cooperativa Valenciana; Verónica Blanco Solaz, Equality Officer at Riba-roja de Túria City Council; and Noemí Soriano García, Director of Enfocada Consultora.
