Paid internships in Telefónica

Students and alumni of the Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering can aim for the grants of the SEPI Foundation for paid internships during twelve months in the Telefónica centres of Spain.

The SEPI Foundation offers 100 grants to facilitate young university graduates and students of engineering, with all the Degree subjects already passed, except for the Final Degree Project, their incorporation as interns in working centres of Telefónica España for a monthly remuneration.

The call is addressed to all the degree and double degree students, licenciatura (former Spanish undergraduate degree) and double linceciatura, master’s degree, engineering and technical engineering, in the following areas of study:

  • Telecommunications Engineering;
  • Computer Engineering;
  • Automatic Electronics Engineering;
  • Industrial Engineering;
  • Economy (in all the sub-areas);
  • Business (in all the sub-areas);
  • Legal (sub-area of Law);
  • Communication and Information (sub-areas of Communication and Design).

The grant will have a maximum duration of twelve months and those students starting the internship at a date later that the stablished, will see their payment proportionally reduced.

Monetary allowance

Interns participating in this programme will receive a monthly allowance whose amount will be paid during the next twelve moths after the date of the incorporation. The amount stablished for each case is:

  • 860€, for interns with a master’s degree, licenciatura or higher engineering certificate;
  • 775€, for interns with a diplomatura, technical engineering or degree certificate (according to the stablished classifications in the Bolonia Plan);
  • 775€, for interns currently studying a higher engineering and that are expecting their Final Degree Project to be passed.

With the inclusion in the general regime of the Social Security, the retentions and deductions stablished by the Social Security will be applied to them, according to the corresponding regulations.

The training will be carried out in any of the Telefónica centres distributed for all Spain. During the internship, and if the training requires it, interns will have to move out of the centre they were destinated.

Requirements

During the year 2016 the SEPI Foundation will carry out several selection procedures that include in person interviews in Madrid. The deadline for the submission of applications will end the 19 of June and some of the requirements to access to one of the 100 offered internships are:

  • To be born after the 31 December 1985;
  • To have the academic certificate after the 31 December 2010;
  • High level of English;
  • Computer user level;
  • To be prepared to move and live in the place of the internship;
  • Not to be a beneficiary, currently, of a grant of this Foundation, excepting the grants of the Talentum Startups programmes.

A grant of the programme will be incompatible with the realisation of any activity carried out by the intern, either on their own or by others, paid or not, that according to the SEPI Foundation interferes with the proper development of the training period. It will also be incompatible with the payment of unemployment benefits or any other grant with similar characteristics.
