Next Wednesday 10 February, from 15:00 to 17:00, in the Room AE-2.4 of the ETSE-UV, a talk on computer security will take place with the name (In)Security in mobile communications. The talk will be given by the founder members of the security company Layakk, José Picó and David Pérez.

Mobile communications (2G/3G/4G...) are more important each day, but are these technologies safe? In the talk, we will review the security (or the lack of it) in the different mobile communications generations that we use nowadays, showing real attacks against them.

David Pérez has worked more than 15 years in the production of advanced technical security services. He is senior engineer in telecommunications by the Universitat Politècnica de València, author of books, articles, talks and courses about security, and one of the few professionals who has obtained the certification GIAC Security Expert. In 2013, he co-founded Layakk, and from here he has produced security services with a high level of technical, training and research content.

José Picó is a graduate in Computer Science and has 18 years of experience in IT. In the first years of his career, he worked for several multinational corporations and so he came into contact with almost all the fields of IT, finally specialising in computer security. In 2013, he co-founded Layakk together with David Pérez. He is author of several articles, books and tools, and has given conferences on security.

Layakk is a Valencian company that provides its clients with the most advanced security services and products.  The company focuses in two important pillars: research and engineering.
