The Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i) of the Universitat de València held more than three hundred dissemination activities in 2019. Among this activities, training activities in Valencian high-schools and diverse outreach events have been held throughout the institution, as well as in València and other cities. 45 of these activities have been organised in the past quarter. In addition, in 2019 the UCC+i has published 253 news articles on its web, most of which have been sent to the media.

The Universitat de València's UCC+i has also collaborated or worked with the Centro Superior de Investigación en Salud Pública (FISABIO), the INCLIVA Biomedical Research Institute, the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian Government) through the Centros de Formación Continuada del Profesorado (Cefires), the City of Arts and Sciencies, the Institut d'Estudis Catalans and the Cañada Blanch Foundation.

As for the activities, 75 Valencian high-schools have carried out two mathematical routes, in which approximately 4,500 people have participated. This is a proposal in which the city of València is used as a didactic resource for the dissemination of the teaching and learning of mathematics, carried out in collaboration with the Al-Klwarizmi Sociedad de Educación Matemática (Mathematical Education Society) of the Valencian Community.

The science workshops -Geology and Mathematics at high schools and Astronomy at the Universitat- bring these disciplines closer to high school students. During 2019, 36 of these activities have been organised in some high-schools and at the Universitat.

Encouraging Scientific Vocations is carried out in collaboration with the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) and other institutions. It consists of a conference given by university teachers and a subsequent dialogue with secondary and high school students or the general public. The dialogue explains the research of the University and other centres in diverse knowledge areas. In 2019, 69 of these activities have been held.

There have also been other types of activities such as conferences in general (20), the ConecTalks conference cycle (6) and the light and chemistry workshops (4). Also, 3 publications, 4 presentations of books and journals and the Universitat de València Doctoral Thesis Dissemination Prize. Among other activities, there has been participation in the Peregrí Casanova Memorial which has produced twelve audiovisual pieces.

The scientific bar is a dialogue between scientific professional and the general public, held in a relaxed atmosphere, just like a bar. Four of them have been held during 2019. The matinees (3) are a scientific update day for secondary and high school teachers, held on Saturday mornings.

The UCC+i of the UV scientific communication and dissemination activities plan has been possible thanks to the co-funding received by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the collaboration of various entities and the complicity of the staff that makes them possible.
