The Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the Universitat de València (UCC + i UV) telematically maintains its activity of dissemination and scientific communication, and has suspended its on-site activities, both those at its headquarters and those organized in other entities.

The unit’s social networks, Twitter (@cdcienciauv), Facebook, Youtube and the web (www.uv.es/cdciencia) are still active and any request will be answered via email (cdciencia@uv.es).

The face-to-face activity in the universities was cancelled as a result of the publication of Royal Decree 463/2020, which declared the state of alarm in the country in order to manage the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19.

The state of alarm came into effect on Sunday, March 15 and on Monday 16 a resolution of the rector of the University of Valencia ordered, among other measures, the limitation of access to the buildings of the institution and the reduction of internal mobility in the buildings to that which is essential, as well as the suppression of internal postal services; and the provision of customer care services solely and exclusively by phone and / or telematic means. Special measures were also applied for particularly vulnerable personnel; and contingent plans for the continuity of the activity of each service and structure of the University of Valencia were established.

In this context, the UV restarted its activity on Monday, March 23, with a minimal presence of people in university buildings: 1.75% of the staff, especially in telematic and remote work preparation tasks. In this sense, Management has approved 66 contingency plans for the continuity of university activity in the different units and services of the institution.
