Next Friday, May 15, 2026, at 09:45 in the morning, in the “Manuel Valdivia” Graduate Hall of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, the awards ceremony for the winning projects of the fourth edition of the: “Va De Dades! Valencian Statistics Competition for Data Science” competition will take place” (https://vadedades.umh.es/).
The competition, in which students from ESO, Baccalaureate and Training Cycles participate, is formed as a local phase in the Valencian Community of the national competition AVATAR: Discovering Statistics in the Country of Data organized by the Society of Statistics and Operations Research (SEIO, https://www.seio.es).
In this edition we again have the sponsorship of the Valencian Institute of Statistics (IVE-GVA), which will allow us to finance the travel of the winning teams so that they can participate, as representatives of the Valencian Community, in the national phase of the competition that will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on June 25, 26 and 27, 2026.
