The Faculty Board of the Faculty of Geography and History of the UV (UV) agreed, at its meeting on March 11, 2025, unanimously by its members, to support and adhere to the letter of support to the Head of Climatology of the State Meteorological Agency in the Valencian Community, proposed by the Department of Geography, in response to the pressure and personal criticism received following the fateful DANA event of October 29, 2024. 

The Faculty of Geography and History understands that the actions taken by the AEMET (Spanish Meteorological Agency) in issuing the relevant warnings were correct and that the type of criticism that has occurred is unacceptable.
