Monte Carlo simulations in the field of physics, and specifically in medical physics, are one of the main tools available for scientists to understand and analyse complex and realistic systems. As in the case of so many other applications of interest to students, it is not possible to offer them within the degrees, and they are not included in the syllabus beyond a very brief description in some subjects.

It is advisable to have user-level computer skills.
