The IEEE of the Universitat de València organised the course “Make your own low cost Arduino”

  • February 29th, 2016

The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Student Branch of the Universitat de València organised on days 24 and 25 February a course of Arduino at the ETSE-UV. The students of the Degree in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications, David Brotons and Antonio Alcarria, were in charge of giving the sessions of the course, which had as a main objective the learning of the composition, characteristics and assembly of an Arduino UNO.

The first day it was carried out a theoretical introduction on the board of open source hardware development known as Arduino. They also developed a basic explanation of all its components so that all the attendees could understand its functioning, even without taking into account basic previous knowledge on electronics, since the students came from different degrees.

Finally, it was carried out the guided construction of the Arduino from the basic component and the students could manually reproduce it in a protoboard, as well as taking it home once the workshops finished.
The second day, they proved the proper function of the generated devices as well as different applications and they presented the programming environment.
