The European project «AS4EDI2020. Implementation of the CEF eDelivery AS4 Profile across Europe» concludes at the end of September after 20 months of work. The initiative will enable a large number of European entities to use the AS4-compliant eDelivery services provided by the members of the AS4EDI2020 consortium, thus contributing to the expansion of eIDAS eDelivery electronic registered delivery services (ERDS) and the use of secure encrypted communication between public administrations, businesses and citizens.

Therefore, with the finalisation of the initiative, Validated ID from Spain, Pantarei Soluzioni Informatiche, S.A.T.A. and Promofarma from Italy, Ionite from the Netherlands, Globaltnet from Latvia and Goldman from Cyprus allow their users and customers to access the cross-border exchange of electronic documents based on the eDelivery AS4 profile.

To close the initiative, the consortium members held a final meeting to define the last steps to be taken. In the current cross-border scenario, the operation of these access points will benefit a large number of customers from different Member States, including public institutions and companies from various business sectors, such as retail, manufacturing, tourism, banking and the health sector.

AS4EDI2020 is an initiative co-funded by the European Commission through the CEF Telecom programme managed by the Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).  It has been running from February 2021 to September 2022.
