The Chair of Intelligent and Sustainable Territories held a presentation last Friday, July 4th, in Ayora about the Connecta-Valencia platform, which integrates data from the sensor network deployed in the municipalities of the province of Valencia, processes it and offers it to citizens through different channels. Technicians and members of the municipalities of the region of Ayora-Cofrentes, the main professionals for whom the tool is intended, attended the meeting.
The sensors capture information on meteorology, such as temperature, humidity and wind, air quality, noise, mobility, parking availability, and water consumption. Concentrating the information available on a single portal is one of the advantages of the platform, as is the use of a common exchange format.
The contents of the platform, its function and objectives were explained during a session in which the public learned how to access it, the dashboards and other features. Likewise, the opportunities offered by the open data portal of the Diputación de Valencia were presented.
The presentation in the region of Valle de Ayora-Cofrentes is in line with the objective of the chair to promote digital transformation in the rural environment, encouraging the development and implementation of technological and sustainable solutions, favouring the competitiveness and innovation of the business fabric of the territory.
The information covered by Connecta-València allows management decisions to be made on the basis of real data, generating new services and business opportunities and, in short, improving the well-being of citizens while maintaining sustainability policies.
