Professor and researcher Julián Gutiérrez Moret defended his thesis ‘Open data infrastructure based on semantic technologies for the intelligent management of road traffic incidents and meteorological variables’ at the IRTIC meeting room on Thursday 5th June. Juan José Martínez Durá and José Javier Samper Zapater, also professors and researchers, directed the research.
The thesis committee was composed by Doctor Inmaculada Coma, from the University of Valencia, Professor and Doctor Francisco García Sánchez, from the University of Murcia, and Doctor Francisco José Mora, from the University of Alicante.
The dissertation originated in the LOD-RoadTran18 project, which supported the reuse of dynamic road traffic data in the Czech Republic and Spain by making the published data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR) through both the national open data portals and the European data portal and, in turn, allowing its connection with any other data of the same sector, or of a different nature, through linked open data (LOD).
Congratulations on defending this excellent work!
