Members of the eID4Spain20 nationwide eID project have given a live demonstration to the Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), which co-funds the initiative. Each participating public entity has presented how the selected electronic services have been integrated with Cl@ve 2.0 and ensure proper cross-border authentication in a production environment using nationally issued electronic IDs from different EU countries.
CL@VE 2.0 is the leading Spanish electronic government solution used by local, regional and national public electronic services to authenticate citizens according to new interfaces and requirements. Partners are already connected to an earlier version of the CL@VE platform that is not linked to the eIDAS node.
In this sense, eID4Spain20 focuses on the connection to the Spanish eIDAS node through CL@VE 2.0, in line with the eIDAS Regulation, of the public electronic services provided by the City Council of Torrent, the City Council of Alcobendas and the Provincial Council of Ourense. The entities participate in the initiative with the coordination of the Institute on Robotics and Information and Communication Technologies (IRTIC).
In this way, the action will facilitate access to these services for EU citizens and businesses using their national eID, ensuring cross-border mobility and supporting and strengthening the digital single market.
