IRTIC hosted training on the Lince 3 road traffic incident management application for the staff of the Levante Traffic Management Centre of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) and the agents of the Traffic Grouping of the Civil Guard in the area of influence of the same from Monday 6th to Thursday 9th June. The activity is part of the modernisation of the DGT's traffic management systems carried out by the research institute since 2021 and for the next four years.

This action was part of a series of workshops that are taking place in all the Traffic Management Centres in Spain. Due to the evolution of the Lince 3 application, the aforementioned groups, end users who will use the tool, have caught up on the new functionalities.

The training given in Valencia on this occasion was divided into two editions attended by two different groups. It was carried out by the team from the LISITT research group of the Institute on Robotics along with officials from the DGT.

In this sense, since October last year and until 2025, LISITT is responsible for the integration of the DGT system with the new systems of other administrations and projects already underway, the optimisation of applications, the evaluation of new technologies and the adaptation to the new General Data Protection Regulation and European standards, among other tasks.
