
The MATIS project steering committee met on June 10th and 11th at the facilities of the Servei de Català de Trànsit (SCT), in Barcelona. The meetings shared the implementation of the work packages and included technical presentations.
«MATIS: Mediterranean- Atlantic Transport Intelligent Systems» aims to promote the implementation of intelligent transport systems (ITS) within the Mediterranean-Atlantic corridor area. It is an initiative promoted by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) within its Connecting Europe Facilities (CEF) program, will run until 2027 and involves a consortium of 11 public and private entities and 30 affiliated entities dependent on them with competencies in road traffic management.
IRTIC is responsible for coordinating the group of beneficiaries in Spain, comprising ABERTIS, AUTEMA, AUSOL and the SCT. In addition, AUCAT and Castellana de Autopistas participate as affiliated entities of ABERTIS.
