  • LSYM
Expanding their field of the creation of simulators, LSyM has developed a set of training simulators based on new web technologies. These simulators focus on the area of civil construction, running remotely through the web browser.
Description

Simulators based on web technologies focuses on the use of Internet services for the simulation of virtual environments, through a web browser. The trend of using web browsers as a mean to provide models and simulation applications is increasing.

Currently, it is used for e-learning, distance learning, software engineering applications or for online games, with which you can create 3D environments on web.

Simulator of Enclosure Walls

This project represents the development of a training system, based on simulation, which allows the reproduction of the procedures needed for the construction of enclosure walls and partitions. This development is associated to the Competency Unit 2 of the professional module 2: Masonry, according to the contents that are described in the Annex II of the Royal Decree 140/1994, 4 February, which establishes the curriculum of the advanced vocational qualification of Construction Technician. The main goal of this work is the implementation and validation of a complete training system for students and professors, accessible via web. This system is based on the use of a versatile and easily expandable simulator related to the software, the evaluation system and instructional designs.

IMPORTANT: You will need to install ActiveX that will appear on the browser toolbar to install.

Levelling Simulator

Through this project we want to create a simulator adaptable to a console, for simulating through a virtual reality, the real environment of a building site with the aim that students can see and practice those surveys and staking out operations needed for construction of a building and of the surrounding urbanisations. The simulator, then, is composed by a set of procedures that provide a detailed instructional design based on teaching methods, which will allow the teacher and the student a better use of the teaching-learning process. The simulator will have the added value of allowing its use as self-learning material and as a teaching resource in courses of staking out.

Simulator of Efficiency Energy

Simulator adaptable to a console, for simulating through a virtual reality the real environment of a building, with the aim that the students can see and practice operations such as modification of the building envelope, the improvement of the performance of heating and lighting systems, the generation of Sanitary Hot Water and electricity using renewable energy, etc, processes designed for restoration projects and improvement of energy efficiency of such building. The simulator, then, is composed by a set of procedures that provide a detailed instructional design based on teaching methods, , which will allow the teacher and the student a better use of the teaching-learning process. The simulator will have the added value of allowing its use as self-learning material and as a teaching resource in courses of energy rehabilitation.

IMPORTANT: You will need to install JAVA or give permission to the web browser for running the application.

The following messages will appear in your browser. If you don’t have installed the JAVA Virtual Machine, click on installing JAVA Virtual Machine.

If you already have Java installed in your computer, click on running Java that will appear in yellow on the top bar of your browser.
