Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS and Member of the Advisory Committee of the Aleatica Foundation for Road Safety, participated in the event that, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Aleatica Foundation for Road Safety, was held in Mexico on November 8, 2023.

Dr. Alonso has intervened in the session to analyze from a global perspective the "Implementation of the Points Based License system: challenges, perspectives and experiences in the world", where he has developed which are the main factors that make the points-based driver license system differentially effective in promoting road safety compared to other preventive measures and has shared the most relevant findings of the comparative study commissioned by the Aleatica Foundation to INTRAS on this topic.

The points-based license is a differentially effective measure to increase road safety by encouraging individual driver responsibility, promoting safer behavior on the road and deterring drivers from committing traffic offenses, according to various international research and reports.
