Dr. Andrés Gené, INTRAS researcher and Professor at the University of Valencia, has been elected new President of Valencian Health Union (USV).

Dr. Gené, President of the College of Opticians-Optometrists of the Valencian Community, replaces Francisco José Santolaya, Dean of the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community.

The Valencian Health Union was created in 2006 and represents more than 40,000 health professionals in the Valencian Community from the associations of Dentists, Dieticians and Nutritionists, Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Doctors, Opticians-Optometrists, Chiropodists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Veterinarians.
