Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS and advisor to INTRANT, has attended the inauguration of the Children's Park of Road Education "Ciudad Juan Bosch", which has been attended by Danilo Medina, President of the Dominican Republic.
This is the first Road Education Park in the country, which will give way to others in response to a commitment to Road Education as a fundamental tool to prevent accidents and create a new community of future drivers and present responsible pedestrians, according to the words of the Executive Director of INTRANT, Claudia Franchesca de los Santos.
Road Education Parks will be considered as a didactic resource with active, participatory and experimental methodology where students learn norms, signs, strategies, attitudes, values, habits and behaviors as pedestrians, skaters, cyclists and even as moped drivers.
