Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS, has received the IG Nobel Peace Prize, from the Nobel Prize in Medicine 2017 scientist Michael Rosbash, at the 28th First Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony held at Harvard University. September 13, 2018, for his research reflected in the scientific article "Shouting and Cursing While Driving: Frequency, Reasons, Perceived Risk and Punishment”
Cristina Esteban, Andrea Serge, Maria-Luisa Ballestar, Jaime Sanmartín, Constanza Calatayud, and Beatriz Alamar have also been awarded as co-authors of the scientific article and/or the research on which it is based: "La Justicia en el Tráfico: Conocimiento y Valoración de la Población Española"("Justice in Traffic: Knowledge and Valuation of the Spanish Population")
