On November 27, 2018, the Rector of the University of Valencia, Mª Vicenta Mestre, received the Rector of the Universidad Central del Este (UCE) of the Dominican Republic, José Hazim, accompanied by the Executive Vice-Rector of the UCE, Richard Peguero, of the Executive Advisor of the UCE, José Oviedo, of the former Consul of the Dominican Republic in Valencia, Freddy García, and of the Director of INTRAS, Dr. Francisco Alonso.
