Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS, has participated in the working breakfast on: Sustainable Mobility in the context of Valencia European Green Capital, which has been held in Valencia on January 31, 2025.
In this event organized by Valencia Plaza, a newspaper of the Ediciones Plaza group, experts and representatives of the sector offered numerous reflections to face the future of sustainable mobility.
Francisco Alonso warned that, in this city project, “road safety is paramount” and that “it seems that people who walk are being forgotten and certain modes of transport are being prioritized”, in reference to bicycles and scooters.
On the other hand, he pointed out that when it comes to “offering adequate solutions” to mobility problems, the authorities do not have or do not adequately record some data: “There are data but they are not shared, they are mostly held by private companies”.
