The event, which is free to attend upon prior registration via this link, will begin at 9.15 a.m. in the Marie Curie Auditorium and will also be streamed live through the PCUV YouTube channel. The opening session will feature the participation of Rosa Mª Donat, vice-rector for Innovation and Transfer at the University of Valencia (UV); Pedro Carrasco, director of the institution’s Science Park; and Guillermo Palao, professor of Private International Law, and Jesús Olavarría, professor of Commercial Law, both from the UV Faculty of Law.

The seminar, directed by Guillermo Palao and Jesús Olavarría, with Eva Alcaraz representing the UV Science Park Foundation, aims to address critical issues arising from the involvement of different types of investors in innovative and technological companies. These issues will be analysed from a corporate, economic, legal and organisational perspective throughout the different stages of investment. Special attention will be paid to the specific characteristics of processes involving companies originating from university research or R&D centres as a public-private collaboration model for developing future solutions and technologies.

The seminar is targeted at technological and innovative start-ups, researchers involved in creating such start-ups, entrepreneurs, investors, legal professionals interested in the field, transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship services of universities and research organisations in general, as well as science and technology parks and other innovation agents.
