The Universitat de València, through the Chair for Valencian Territorial Culture, organised together with the Conselleria d’Habitatge, Obres Publiques i Vertebració del Territori the sessions HERITAGE AND URBAN REGENERATION; IDENTITY AND OPPORTUNITY FOR THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT, developed in the municipality of Llíria, Xàtiva, Vila-Real and Dènia.
In the sessions it will be presented and argued, by recognised university specialists, different approaches that overlap in order to explore criteria and possibilities for a new local development based in the identity of the places: particular geographical conditions, heritage, the city and its relationship with the territory in which it is integrated, the opportunity and relevance of a new town planning adapted to the context, which makes the regeneration and improvement of the habitability conditions, social and physical, its hallmark. In line with the proposal of the new Strategy 2030 and United Nations and its 17 goals.
The sessions are addressed to responsible and public and private decision makers, technicians of local administrations, stakeholders and citizenship.
