- Universitat i Societat (University and Society) in Ontinyent emerges from the strong commiment of the city council of Ontinyent for the formation throughout the life, with the support of Universitat de València.
- Universitat i Societat is adressed specially to people who live at Ontinyent and outskirts and it”s dedicated to 30-year-old people or over with concern for learning and motivation for the culture.
- Implemented at Ontinyent through a 360 hours multidisciplinary itinerary, distributed in three academic courses of 120 hours each.
- Each course is divided into two four-month period and each four-month period imparts two core subjects; moreover , the education is complemented with 4 lectures per course, varied topics.

Goals of the Nau Gran
- To raise awareness in society in general about the value of learning throughout life, emphasizing and appreciating the valuable contribution that older people make to society.
- To promote intergenerational solidarity and the vitality and dignity of all persons, and to make a greater effort in order to mobilize the potential of people, making it possible for them to have an adequate training.
- To stimulate debate and the exchange of information in order to develop mutual learning.
- To promote activities which are useful to fight against discrimination associated with age, overcoming stereotypes related to age.
