Synopsis: Screenwriter Charlie Kaufman is ordered to carry out the adaptation of a book about flowers written by Susan Orlean, in which we find the figure of John Laroche, a horticulturist obsessed with a type of very rare orchid. The hard process of writing the script will be mixed with the experiences of the three characters and Charlie's twin brother, Donald.
