The Universitat de València, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Valencian Regional Council shows with the exhibition “Deporte Tradicional valenciado y Territorio” (Valencian Traditional Sport and Territory) the main modalities of native sports present in the Valencian territory through the contribution of about thirty researchers of the Universitat and other specialists on popular divulgation.

In this pioneering exhibition about the importance of Valencian traditional sport, the modalities of Valencian pilota (galotxa, raspall, llargues...) from the historical, cultural, architectural, sporting, educational, etc. point of view, will be addressed.

In the same way, some other native sports are addressed as part of Valencian cultural heritage (lateen sail, mare races, horse pulling), traditional games in different Valencian spaces, particularly in the interior of the Valencian territory, as well as popular athletics through the popular races circuit, the Vuelta a pie or athletics clubs.
