The curved furniture factory that Ventura Feliu Rocafort had in Valencia at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries has left one of the main sources of supply for the Valencian Archive of Design.

Ventura Feliu Rocafort was an important businessman in Valencian society at the time. His factory was founded in 1879 and in 1893 the first buildings, warehouses and stores were built, which were extended in later years, at 302 San Vicente Street, as detailed in an article by the researcher, documentary maker and writer Julio Vives Chillida. Ventura Feliu and his sons commissioned various projects and works from outstanding architects in Valencia, such as Vicente Cerdà (in 1903 and 1909), Francisco Mora (1905), Francisco Almenar (1906) and Carlos Carbonell (1913).

Ventura Feliu was also the promoter of the Unión de Fabricantes de Muebles Curvados (Union of Curved Furniture Manufacturers), an employers' association created for participation in fairs and exhibitions.

So far, only the 1924 catalogue is known, published under the name of "Fábrica de muebles encorvados de Hijos de Ventura Feliu", which includes a whole series of photographs on the production process of curved furniture in its factory that form part of Valencian industrial history and have been partially disclosed in the existing work on furniture in Valencia. In addition, throughout its history the Feliu factory has published various advertisements in Valencia guides and magazines.
