CDICV (Valencian association of interior design professionals) donates its collection of 1970s pioneers of interior design historical documents to the AVD (Valencian design archive institution), an institution promoted by the University of Valencia and the EASD (Valencian college of arts and higher design studies). The collection has already been deposited and a donation ceremony will be held soon.

Some of the AVD goals are dissemination and access to its collections through digitalisation and online consultation, as well as the study and research of the world of design to consolidate and enhance its value. The institution’s archive is made up by donations of lots of Valencian artists and designers, and now includes as well archives on projects for ephemeral architecture, commercial premises, and furniture or residential premises by interior design pioneers such as José Arrufat, Pepe Blanquer, Casto Buigues, Manuel Dauffí, Ignacio de Astorza, Ramiro de la Torre, Paco Jorro, José Martínez Medina Montoro, Armando Munuera, Manuel Pinazo, Francisco Sebastián, Rafael Tamarit o Diego Zambrano. 

The collection donated by the CDICV and the José Martínez Peris and Juan Bautista Sanchís collections consolidates the section of the AVD about interior design, with 1930s-to-1970s documents.

AVD was founded in March 2018 with the constitution of the working group made up of the University of Valencia, Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian provincial government) and EASD. It is currently co-directed by Vicente Pla (professor at the University of Valencia) and Xavier Giner (professor of Design at the EASD), and managed through the UV General Foundation (based at the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Valencia).
Last December, the AVD Monitoring Committee was set up to monitor and assess the institution's performance. Pepe Cosín, dean of the CDICV, is a member of the commission along with donors, sponsors, public institutions and personalities of recognised prestige in the field of design and culture.
