The Valenciaport Chair of Port Economics will organise, together with the Port Authority of València and the Valenciaport Foundation, the Annual Conference of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) in 2024.

The International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) has more than 300 members from all continents. Among the various conferences organised and supported by the Association, one of the most prestigious is the annual conference that focuses on the challenges of the maritime industry, among other fields.  

The conference, which is a major gathering of maritime economists, is organised by a different institution each year. The IAME has recently announced in a statement its decision to hold the annual conference of the International Association of Maritime Economists 2024 in Valencia, adding: “We wish the organising team of the Valenciaport Foundation, the Port Authority of València and the APV-UV Valenciaport Chair of Port Economics the best of luck with this first IAME conference on Spanish ground and look forward to visiting this historic port city to advance the creation and exchange of knowledge”.
