The Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources aims to provide the necessary training to understand, in an integrated way, the complexity and the dynamic and interrelated character of human work, taking into consideration legal, organizational, psychological, sociological and historico-economic perspectives. In addition, the following areas are encouraged: critical skills in the face of social and work-related issues, responsibility and an ethical conscience for the application and defence of fundamental rights, equal opportunities, non-discrimination and democratic values.
The Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources allows graduates to become members of professional associations and work as labour relations specialists.
The three academic pathways are linked to the most common professional paths of the degree, conducted in the following fields: professional offices for labour relations specialists, human resources departments or departments of administration and staff management in companies and public administrations; labour rights consultancies; local development agencies; services, departments and centres linked to the regional and national systems for labour, employment and social security; local, regional and national programmes and plans related to the introduction of employment policies; national and international cooperation and development centres and agencies; social projects and activities integrated in the various social welfare systems, etc.
In order to encourage the professionalization of students, the degree includes internships in companies and institutions related to the aforementioned kinds of work, thereby facilitating graduates’ employment.
