The strategic guidelines of the Chair include:

• To promote the participation and mobilisation of the university community for the construction of more sustainable models of life and society and for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda from a transformative perspective.
• To emphasise transfer and collaboration with the environment, particularly with civil society movements and organisations, with other Valencian public universities and with public administrations.
• To coordinate and reinforce the ongoing policies, strategies and actions at the UV in terms of cooperation and sustainability, and in particular those of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Life.
• To make progress in a transformative view of sustainability and in ways of implementing the 2030 Agenda that promote the structural changes necessary for the sustainability of life.

The action lines of the Chair include:

• Training and mobilisation activities.
• Organisation of courses, seminars, conferences, meetings, etc.
• Calls for TFG and TFM awards.
• Actions to promote the mobilisation of the university community.
• Actions to improve student options to contribute to sustainable development.
• Research activities.
• Calls for doctoral thesis awards.
• Scholarships and research grants.
• Promotion of applied research in collaboration with the social environment.
• Outreach, dissemination and documentation activities.
• Own publications.
• Activity in social networks to contribute to the debate on sustainable development in the Valencian Community.
• To inform the university community and the social environment of available resources on topics of interest to the Chair.
