On 13 December, the DAM Chair for the Integral Management and Resource Recovery of Wastewater of the University of Valencia is holding the 5th Scientific-Technical Conference on the use of wastewater as a source of resources. The event will be held in the Auditorium of the Fundació Universitat Empresa-ADEIT in Valencia

The DAM Chair for the Integral Management and Resource Recovery of Wastewater is holding the 5th Scientific-Technical Conference on the use of wastewater as a source of resources on 13 December in the Auditorium of the Fundació Universitat Empresa-ADEIT (Valencia). The event is free of charge and is aimed at public bodies, professionals from the water treatment sector, researchers and university students interested in wastewater treatment and the recovery of the resources it contains.

The use of treated wastewater is a basic pillar to promote a more rational use of water. However, wastewater can be conceived not only as a source of water but also as a source of other resources such as energy, nutrients and other value-added products. This approach is in line with the Circular Economy approach that promotes a more sustainable use of natural resources.

The conference will be attended by experts in innovative technologies for wastewater treatment and energy recovery from companies and research centres such as LEITAT, University of Girona, Polytechnic University of Valencia, University of Granada, CSIC and the Autonomous University of Madrid.
