
On May 8, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Valencia will host the lecture “Marikas y Ratas: Urban Transformations from Sex-Gender Dissidences”, delivered by Eki Irusta Araujo (University of Barcelona).
This event explores how queer and gender dissident perspectives reshape urban spaces, highlighting everyday forms of resistance and critical spatial practices that challenge dominant urban norms.
Presented by Luis Robledo Díaz, president of the Sexualities Research Committee of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES).
The event is organized by the research group COSiDES — Social Corporalities, Subjectivities and Dissidences, in collaboration with Diversitats, the Equality Unit of the University of Valencia, the FES, and the CI34 Sexualities Research Committee.
