From May 18 to 23, 2025, Dr. Paula Alepuz and PhD student Vanessa Bernal participated in the EMBO Workshop “Protein Quality Control: From Molecular Mechanisms to Aging and Disease”, held in Hersonissos, Greece.
Paula Alepuz, principal investigator of the EGE-DtoP Group, delivered a talk entitled “Role of eIF5A in proteostasis during heat-stress and aging”.
In addition, both Paula Alepuz and Vanessa Bernal presented their work in poster sessions, which led to valuable discussions and feedback from many of the leading researchers in the field.
It was an incredibly enriching experience that further inspires and strengthens the group’s commitment to advancing the understanding of protein quality control mechanisms in the context of aging and disease.
