Concert-conference: emotions in opera

As part of the 25th anniversary of La Nau Gran, we celebrate the second activity that analyses the relationship between psychology and music: a concert-conference.
The soprano Emilia Onrubia will be joined by pianist José Madrid Giordano, in the activity ‘Emotions in opera. Emilia Onrubia sings Maria Callas,’ and Professor Ángel Latorre Latorre will present the event and the emotions.
The activity will take place on Thursday, 13 June at 6:00pm at the Sapiencia Chapel of La Nau.
1) The six basic emotions and moods will be analysed.
2) Two models for transforming these emotions will be proposed, based on Daniel Goleman (1997) and Thich Nhat Hahn (2000).
3) We will also present musical examples from the opera that illustrate these basic emotions.
