An actor is preparing the monologue he will be performing for the audience in the near future. He has written it himself, based on what his family, born in the same village as the character he is playing ("the undertaker"), has told him for years about the character and his grandfather. The rehearsal is interrupted several times by phone calls that will make him doubt what is really the truth about events that are part of the monologue.
