FUENTEOVEJUNA, the famous play by Lope de Vega has been adapted by the student group Polipatéticos. This proposal combines struggle, death and love with humour and ridiculousness. The social dramas of 15th century Spain sparkled with some modern references and a bit of mamarracheo (tomfoolery). Fuenteovejuna shows the abuses of power, selfishness, the situation of women and the organisation and collaboration of citizens.
