Solidarity concert for the benefit of Saharan children

The Orfeó Universitari de València (Choral Society) and the association Calima are mobilising for the Sahara with a solidarity concert to be given by the senior choral group this Saturday, 25 February, in València (8:30 p.m.). It will take place in the church of Sant Joan de la Creu (Calle Poeta Querol, next to the Palace of the Marqués de Dos Aguas), for the benefit of this Valencian youth organisation and its latest project, which consists of organising a summer camp for Saharan children with functional diversity.

The Orfeó, conducted by Francesc Valldecabres, will sing a selection from Brahms' 'Requiem', and there will also be the participation of the Valencian soprano Pilar Moral, who will perform works by Matilde Salvador and other authors.

Tickets will be available to the public one hour before the performance at the door of the church and can be reserved and purchased in advance through Calima's website.
