The debate, the only one held between the two candidates since they passed the first round, was organised by the UV Monitoring Committee for Palestine, of which our colleague and predoctoral researcher Vicente Barrachina is a member. He participated in the debate as moderator together with Clara Chiner, a student of Sociology and Political Science.

During the session, both candidates committed to maintaining the suspension of relations with the genocidal state of Israel and to reviewing university hiring criteria so that the university’s production of knowledge is grounded in values of peace, justice and human rights.
