On 30 April the International Congress "La regulación de los criptoactivos desde una perspectiva comparada" (‘The regulation of crypto-assets from a comparative perspective’) will take place at the Law Faculty from the Universitat de València, at the Department of Administrative and Procedural Law (Room 3P10).
This meeting will gather specialists from Spain, Brazil, and Italy to analyse the main law challenges that digital economy implies.
The session will start at 3 p.m. with the certification of the attendees and it will continue at 3.30 p.m. with the opening ceremony, held by José Carlos Laguna de Paz, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Valladolid. At 4.15 p.m. will be the starting of the first table, aimed at the introduction to the concept of crypto-assets, moderated by Beatriz Belando Garín, from the Universitat de València.
The event features María Lidón Lara Ortiz (Universitat Jaume I), Bruno José Queiroz Ceretta (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo), and Guido Befani (Università di Teramo).
After a coffee break, the second table will be held at 5.30 p.m., focused on the blockchain and the architecture of institutional trust and moderated by Renata Fabiana Santos Silva, from the Universidade Salvador.
It will feature Jorge Quindimil (Universidade da Coruña), Marcelo Curi (Petrobras), Camila Villard Duran (ESSCA School of Management), and Danilo Pappano (Università del Sannio).
At 6.15 p.m., the third table will be held, focused on agreements and crypto-assets, and also moderated by Renata Fabiana Santos Silva, with the interventions of Rosalía Estupiñán and Miguel Pinilla Izquierdo (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), and Jorge Alexandre Casara (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários de Brasil). Afterwards, a commented panel on the ways of protecting consumers, moderated by Emanuele Guarna Assanti (Università della Calabria), featuring Adela Serra (Universitat de València). The event will conclude with a fourth table, focused on crypto regulators, moderated by María Lidón Lara Ortiz, with interventions of Diogo Verri Garcia and Raphael de Matos Cardoso (IDASAN), as well as Beatriz Belando Garín (Universitat de València).
The congress can also be followed virtually through online connection.
