Pre-registration open for training on children, adolescents and youth at risk

Pre-registration is now open for the postgraduate degrees of ‘University Expert in Child-Parental Violence and other Problems Related to Delinquent Behaviour’ and the MEPIAR Master's Degree in ‘Prevention and Intervention with Adolescents at Risk and Child-Parental Violence’.

The Luis Amigó UV Chair is a collaborator in both courses. The master's degree starts in November 2021 and the expert degree in April 2022, both in online mode and with a load of 12 ECTS credits.

Master's Degree in Prevention and Intervention with Adolescents at Risk and Filioparental Violence

The master's degree covers contents related to the theoretical and psychosocial contextualisation of childhood and adolescence, child and adolescent policies, the system of prevention and protection of minors, juvenile justice, family intervention, specific interventions and child-parental violence, among other topics.

The University of Valencia and the Amigó Foundation, through the Luis Amigó Chair, present the ninth edition of the Master's degree in evaluation, prevention and intervention of adolescents at risk and child-parental violence (MEPIAR), which aims to respond to the existing demand in the field of training professionals in all issues related to adolescence. Any professional in the Education, Justice or Health sector must have a deep knowledge of the problems that adolescents in situations of risk or exclusion can develop in order to be able to work towards their resolution and benefit.

This master's degree aims to ensure that any professional whose work is related to the treatment of the different problems faced by a minor or adolescent in a situation of risk is able to detect, treat and resolve them in the best possible way in order to avoid possible negative consequences.

University Expert in Child-Parental Violence and other Problems Related to Delinquent Behaviours

This degree aims to offer quality training tailored to children and adolescents at risk and their families as the central focus of study, as well as to promote spaces for exchange, discussion, analysis and critical-constructive reflection; also to deepen the circumstances of risk to establish mechanisms for prevention - inclusion, intervention and evaluation, to progress in the reading of educational processes and the interpretation of the psychosocial world and to apply in practice the knowledge acquired during the theoretical sessions.
