
The 27 October, at 15:00h, this online seminary will be held, which will be taught by a specialist in Clinical Psychology Esther González. The entry is free, but requires prior registration.
The Master's Degree in Evaluation, Prevention and Intervention of Adolescents at Risk and Child-Parental Violence (MEPIAR) —of the Luis Amigó Chair and the Universitat de València—, organises annually, during the previous dates at the beginning of the course, an online lecture about different problematics that affect children and adolescence in risk situation.
In this occasion, the webinar turns into the suicidal behaviours in young population. The objective is to provide the assistants basic knowledge that allow them understand better these behaviours, and with it, its management. To this end, there will be a dialogue on different aspects around this phenomenon in the young population, as the erroneous beliefs and the prejudices, the importance to know how to identify the risk situation and communicate them, the limits of the intervention, fears when they have to face these situations, or attitudes and abilities needed to act appropriately.
The seminar will be online taught by Esther González Jiménez, graduate in Psychology and specialist in clinical Psychology via PIR, with more than 20 years of experience in Mental Health, both in public and private practice. The lecturer has worked in the crisis intervention and the suicidal behaviour both in the hospital setting and out-of-hospital. Now she works as Associate of Clinical Psychology in a Mental Health Centre owned by the Gerencia de Atención Especializada de Toledo, del Servicio de Salud de Castilla-La Mancha (SESCAM).
