On Thursday, February 23, 2023, in room B1 of Building B of the School of Biological Sciences on the Burjasot Campus (50 Dr Moliner Street, 46100 Burjasot, Valencia) the presentation of the CONCEPTU MARIS project and its volunteer proposal was made.
The European project CONCEPTU Maris "CONservation of CEtaceans and Pelagic sea TUrtles in Med: Managing Actions for their Recovery In Sustainability" aims to fill the current gaps in information on cetaceans and sea turtles in pelagic areas and the impact of human activities on the conservation of species in the Mediterranean. To do this, it will use cutting-edge technologies and constant analysis at sea by periodically observing from passenger transport ships on its maritime routes. The University of Valencia is one of the partners of this LIFE project. Among the objectives of the project is proposed an action of Citizen Science that allows the participation of volunteers as students of the University of Valencia, interested in collaborating in the study.
